Lose Weight
Is It Possible to Lose Weight Everyday?
Everyday we are either losing weight or gaining weight. For most of us we can go up or down 1/4 or 1/3 or even 1/2 pound. The scale might shoot up (or down) 2-5 pounds overnight, but this is typically water weight and not actual fat or muscle. For instance, too much MSG in your Chinese food will make you soak up water and will be responsible for the extra water weight. Within a couple of days your body stabilizes and you are back to your real weight.
Losing weight everyday is not rocket science, it is simple math. Everyday each of us burns a set number of calories just by breathing, pumping blood, walking, etc. If we exercise we burn even more calories. Look at the chart below.

But these numbers might mean squat to you. Let’s say you don’t exercise, you still burn a lot of calories. But what does 2,500 calories a day mean?
Here is a typical day of eating 2,500 calories:
So if you are 200 lbs and ate all of the above in one day then you maintained your 200 lbs.
If you are 175 lbs, ate the above food, unfortunately, you gained about 1/10 of a pound today. Eating like this everyday means you will gain 1 pound in 10 days.
If you are 225 lbs, ate the above food, you lost about 1/10 of a pound today. Eating like this everyday means you will lose 1 pound in 10 days.
For some of you this is a lot of food and for some of you it is very little–this will change. On Eat + Drink ≈ Anything you will never think or feel that you are having too little food. On the contrary you will eventually get to the point that you will not want to eat. Imagine not wanting the piece of cake. Not because you can’t have it, but because you don’t want it.
