Actually, You MUST Eat Carbs, Protein & Fat

The evil culprit for us being overweight keeps changing. First it was “protein”, it was the steaks, eggs and dairy we were consuming that was to blame for us being fat. Then it changed to the “fat” in our diets and we had a surge in “Fat-Free” products. Then it turned to “carbs” and we stopped eating bread, pasta, potatoes, etc. For a while there were the No-Food diets (The Slim-Fast diet of two shakes and a sensible dinner, made famous by Oprah.)

With each new culprit a new diet plan has emerged. And all of them work for a while…

Example: if you have been over consuming carbs and you go on a No-Carb Diet, of course you will lose weight. Your body has been begging, pleading, prodding you for protein and suddenly you give it protein and fat and no carbs. Your body finally starts to get what it has been begging you for. So you start to lose weight. But within a few weeks or months your body goes back to basics and realizes that you are not providing carbs and it goes into panic mode and makes you hungry. The result: you go off the diet and go back to eating like before.

Very few people can stick to No-Carb | No-Fat | No-Protein | No Food diets. These people have trained themselves to eat food that tastes like cardboard. These people have “Will Power”. But why make yourself miserable for months only to look thin for a couple of weeks and then go back to gaining weight and feeling even worse than before.

By being afraid of certain foods or cutting out Carbs or Protein or Fats or Food altogether from your diet you are setting yourself up for failure. There is no way you can go a lifetime without eating Carbs, Proteins or Fats. Your body needs all three. If you restrict your body of one of these, your body will panic and signal you by making you constantly hungry.

It is better to realize that you can Eat + Drink ≈ Anything and still be thin. In fact you MUST eat Carbs. You MUST eat Proteins. You MUST eat Fats.
